WESTERN STATES ALLIANCE

Western States Alliance (WSA) is a membership organization that helps FOG professionals identify and implement best practices in FOG management. It is comprised of professionals across the United States. FOG has been identified by USEPA as the primary cause of sanitary sewer overflows.

 

Our vision for WSA is to be the authoritative and complete source of knowledge and information to advance technologies and best management practices, and consistent standards to conserve Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) resources, deriving the most value from FOG while prohibiting its damaging effects in the wastewater system.

 

This is accomplished through:

• Training and technical assistance

• Developing and improving data collection and analysis tools

• Providing technical resources from partners throughout the country

• Providing networking opportunities for FOG professionals
