Guidance Manual for EPA Safer Choice Certification Process

This Guidance Manual summarizes the EPA Safer Choice certification process and was produced by the Certification Assistance Program (CAP) which operated from 2021 through 2024 and funded by an EPA grant to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ORDEQ). The manual is intended to help product and ingredient manufacturers learn the Safer Choice program requirements and criteria and understand the time and resources commitments needed to obtain the Safer Choice label and become a Safer Choice Partner.
