About Air Toxics
Abstract: Describes air toxics, the health and environmental effects and how are people exposed. Lists ways to find out about toxics in your community and what progress has the EPA made on reducing toxics so far. Also gives Spanish translation.
Air Toxics Strategy [PDF]
Abstract: This fact sheet defines "air toxics" and gives an overview of the goals of the Air Toxics Strategy, details the EPA's progress to date, lists the 33 hazardous air pollutants (HAPs and the 70 area sources subject to the new rules).
Auto Refinish Project Best Practices Kit
Abstract: Checklists and fact sheets on painting topics including: sanding, solvent wipe down, paint mixing, spray painting, spray gun cleaning, health and safety management and working with isocyanates.
Automotive Refinishing Pollution Prevention Outreach Program - Results
Abstract: This case study presents the results of two P2 measures; the STAR training and the use of LaserPaint spray guns in five California auto body shops. Paint use dropped by up to 45% (as well as paint costs and emissions) as a result of these strategies.
