Wetting Agents

Description

• Wetting agents decrease the adhesion between the water and metal
• Use in chemical baths

Advantages / Limitations

• Reduce the volume of process water and process chemicals removed from the tank
• Reduce the rinse water contamination, because less liquid is transferred on the part

Requirements

• Evaluate if / what wetting agent can be used in your process bath
• Determine appropriate concentrations
• Assess cost effectiveness
• Train employees to add the correct amount for each bath
