Dragout Recovery Tank

Description

• Use a dragout recovery tank immediately after a process tank
• Contains static water, as opposed to the rinse tanks
• Captures process chemicals for adding back to heated process tank
• Can be agitated to promote rinsing
• Wetting agent can be added to reduce drag out

Advantages

• Decrease rinse water use
• Decrease freshwater use for process bath
• Retain chemicals necessary for the process

Implementation Process

• Investigate necessary tanks
• Determine if cost / space would permit implementation
• Train and monitor employees – give incentives for superior performance
