Chrome Reduction
Description
- Reduce chromium from hexavalent (Cr+6) to trivalent (Cr+3) to enable precipitation of the chromium in wastewater treatment
- Chemical options include sodium metabisulfite, SO2, FeCl2, and others
Advantages / Limitations
- Vary with choice of reducing agent
