Description

• Coat all floors, sumps and trenches that could be exposed to process chemicals

Advantages

• Reduces the risk of process chemicals leaking or leaching and contaminating the ground

Implementation Process

• reconfigure process so hanging parts can never drip on floors
• use drain boards to direct drag out back into process tanks
• contain rinsing processes within tanks, providing adequate freeboard so there is no overspray
• if spraying is done above tanks, use splash guards
• hard plumb all process flows to prevent spills
• design and maintain a floor with slope and/or channels so spills drain into sump
• install sump and necessary monitoring and control features to manage wastewater
