Agitate Baths

Description

Two methods:
  • Equipment
    • Oil-free air from a blower or compressor
    • Eductor
    • Water pump
  • Part Movement
    • Dip a part in the same rinse tank multiple times

Advantages / Limitations

  • Improves rinse efficiency, resulting in better quality of parts
  • Increases evaporation, allowing for the reuse of rinse water. (Particularly with mechanical agitation.)
  • May reduce rinse time
  • May reduce number of rinse tanks needed

Implementation Process

  • Equipment
    • Investigate required equipment / determine cost-effectiveness
    • Install equipment
    • Train employees so that they know how to properly operate the equipment
  • Part Movement
    • A different hoist system may need to be purchased, if so evaluate the cost-effectiveness of this opportunity
    • Train employees about the new operating procedure
    • monitor their performance
