Agitate Baths
Description
Two methods:
- Equipment
- Oil-free air from a blower or compressor
- Eductor
- Water pump
- Part Movement
- Dip a part in the same rinse tank multiple times
Advantages / Limitations
- Improves rinse efficiency, resulting in better quality of parts
- Increases evaporation, allowing for the reuse of rinse water. (Particularly with mechanical agitation.)
- May reduce rinse time
- May reduce number of rinse tanks needed
Implementation Process
- Equipment
- Investigate required equipment / determine cost-effectiveness
- Install equipment
- Train employees so that they know how to properly operate the equipment
- Part Movement
- A different hoist system may need to be purchased, if so evaluate the cost-effectiveness of this opportunity
- Train employees about the new operating procedure
- monitor their performance
